This is a coalition of school personnel, mental health professionals, city and county government agencies and concerned citizens working with programs to reduce drug and alcohol abuse and suicide among Sanpete residents, especially our youth. Starting Monday, April 11 and continuing for eight weeks, the Nedley Depression and Anxiety course is being sponsored by the Sanpete Communities That Care. If you or a friend or loved one is suffering from depression or anxiety there is help here in Sanpete County.
The incidence of depression and anxiety is often higher in rural communities. Our educational materials are based on solid, documented scientific research and presented in an interesting and understandable way for both the professional and the layperson.” The Nedley Depression and Anxiety Recovery Program states: “We provide you with a holistic approach to enhancing the mind and body. Unless these are addressed directly instead of just being masked by medication, they will continue to contribute to the condition we label as depression or anxiety. These Constellation of Symptoms are then diagnosed as depression. If your body is toxic, lacking exercise or dehydrated it can’t perform the functions necessary for physical and emotional health. If your body doesn’t have the nutrients necessary to build tissue or provide the energy needed for thousands of different functions it’s going to affect how you feel emotionally.
